El Mexicano in Clover

Usually very good food. This visit wasn't typical. The service wasn't good. My order was wrong and the food just wasn't up to par.

It makes me happy inside.

There was a very long hair in my pollo con crema. We were barely visited. Very poor service . We will go to Lake Wylie or York for Mexican.

Great food but the restaurant can be hard to fine

The meat tastes terrible on their tacos.

The team at Muscle paints by Design finished late and headed to get a small bite to eat. But little did we know that our small bite to eat is no El Mexicano bite to eat. The Food was fabulous. It by far was the best restaurant that we ever ate at. Our food was so filling that we all had leftovers. We come to realize that this restaurant is now like a home away from home restaurant. Thank you El Mexicano. Thank you for your hospitality and OMG down right delicious and amazing food that left the taste of your delicious food that stayed with for hours.We will not only return but we will tell other's to come as well.See you all very soon. Service was good. Food was delicious!

Terrible customer service. We were frequent dine in and take out customers for years. We spent over $50 recently for three plates and were given our sides (rice and beans) but not the main course for each plate. This has never happened. When we returned to correct the problem we were told we were lying to scam free food and told he has security cameras and can prove we received our correct order. When challenged on this he of course gave us the rest of our order, but only after ten minutes of being accused of thievery. We will never return. There is a new Mexican restaurant receiving great reviews a few miles north who has just earned our business.

Overpriced, overcooked, long wait. Didnt even get what i ordered. Wont be back

I absolutely love this restaurant. I love so many of their menu options. I personally have only ordered the fajitas and the pollo con creama. It is finely sliced grilled chicken with a cheesy creamy white sauce served with rice and beans and tortillas and I always ask for a side of lettuce and sour cream. But, I always try a taste of my boyfriend's choosing and he gets something different everytime unlike me! And everything he has gotten so far has been delicious 😀 I highly recommend this establishment to everyone and if you wouldn't mind, bring me with you! Thank you for serving the town of Clover for as long as you have and hopefully many, many, many years to come.

El Mexicano is a beautiful clean restaurant. The problem is the food. It was pretty much tasteless. Do not order the mole sauce it tastes like Hershey's Chocolate Syrup straight out of the bottle. The servers were nice the place was clean but the food just didn't make it.

My family and friends enjoy eating there. Food is always good and its always hot.The staff is very friendly too.

This little "hole in the wall" has really really great food! It's not as "Americanized" as most Mexican restaurants are, pretty good menu variety also.

Have lived in area for 30+ years and this was first time trying. I have to say I and my daughter were both very pleased. The food was amazing. Serving size more than you can eat. Price is great for what you order. Service is great. The Banana Burrito is sinful. Highly recommend and definitely will be back

Always love dinning at El Mexicano. It is a fairly regular spot for us, we really enjoy the staff and the food. Couldn't ask for a better small town Mexican meal

We love this place! We usually go once a week. With 3 kids, it's hard to find somewhere to go have a family dinner out where you aren't worried about your kids being too noisy. Our kids are not loud, obnoxious but they do make noise. They don't always know what an inside voice is. And this place is awesome. They usually have music playing as well as the usual ambiance noise. The staff is WONDERFUL! They are so sweet to my children and that means a lot. They have become family to us. The food is delicious as well! We can always count on a delicious dinner!

Very good Mexican food. Prices are reasonable and employees are nice and pleasant. Food arrives very quickly and is hot and delicious. Plenty of room for large parties but parking is scarce. Fresh tortilla chips and good salsa. Restaurant is clean.

Our server Jose did a great job, helping our 7-member party with chips and drinks. Definitely a great server. The restaurant is good and decently priced, service is quick. Would recommend!

Service was good. Margarita was good. Beef fajitas were "ok" - plenty. Fish tacos were cold - wrapped in foil, I guess to keep warm, but they were definitely not. Besides cold fish tacos, what bothered me most was the fact we were there for early supper (Sunday), around 5 and there was quite a bit of old food on the floor, under out table and leading up to our booth presumably from lunch. Not sure we will return.

What a wonderful find. After moving to York County we have been looking for authentic ethnic places to eat. El Mexicano fits the bill beautifully. Great service, good menu, well presented food that is perfectly prepared. Not only with late night hours and a full menu, the staff makes you feel welcome. We now have a 'go to' place in Clover.

Good service and very good food! Was pleased.

I got 2 Tacos and a chicken enchilada. They knocked it out of the park! It was fresh flavorful well seasoned. I also usually judge a Mexican restaurant by there cheese dip lol, and it didn't dissapoint.
